Hmong Fern Frond Earrings
Name: Hmong Fern Frond Earrings

Item#: JTE3s

Made by the brother-in-law of our friend Sho, these earrings are the real thing worn for generations by the Black Hmong in Lao Cai Province, Vietnam. Many of the earrings now available are punched out in China to meet the "bling" demands of the Hmong, but we were able to find a man still using traditional methods and patterns to create these embossed earrings with a classic triangle rise in the middle and fern frond patterns on the end. Made of metals not including silver, probably a nickel-bronze alloy. The earrings are handmade, so slight variations are standard. Includes photo of Trang making earrings.

Size: Approximately 2 in.

Origins: Lao Cai Province, Vietnam

Price: $30.00
